rosters, waivers AND CHECK-IN are 100% online!

What does that mean?

All waivers and rosters must be completed online, via prePLAY, prior to each tournament. Check-in for every event will be completed via the PLAY LA App.

How do I begin with Rosters & Waivers?

It’s super easy! Follow the steps below or check out the full tutorial here.

  1.  Login to lacrosseamerica.com with the same username used to register your team

  2.  Click “Teams” on the sub navigation

  3.  Find your team and click “Create Your Roster”

  4.  Upload your .csv file (see tutorial for layout requirements)

  5.  Save your roster.  An email with the waiver will be sent to each player.

  6.  Make sure all players on your roster show up as rostered & eligible, and contact your parents to fill out the waiver if your players aren't!

  7.  Check-in your team starting 24 hours before your first game, via the PLAY LA App. Click here for the full team check-in tutorial.

  8.  Have a GREAT tournament!

Important Details About prePLAY & Check-In

  • Player waivers must be signed before the start of each event. All participating players must be valid & eligible, before check-in.
  • A roster must be uploaded for each event you are attending. You can copy over past rosters via the prePLAY system, but a roster specific for each tournament must be uploaded to the prePLAY system.
  • A team representative or coach must check-in their team in via the PLAY LA App, prior to the start of their first game or face possible disqualification from the event. The check-in window will open 24 hours before your first game.
  • A team representative or coach must have their player & coach credentials with them at all times during the tournament. Credentials can be in paper or electronic form and are considered final after your team is checked in.

FAQs

What if I forgot my lacrosseamerica.com login information?

No problem! Just click the login button in the upper right hand corner of lacrosseamerica.com and click “retrieve your login”. Make sure you are using the same login that was used to register the team you are doing prePLAY for!

When does my roster have to be final?

All rosters must be final upon check-in and the start of your first game. No changes may be made to the roster after the start of your first game.

What documents do I have to bring to the event?

A team representative or coach must have their player & coach credentials with them at all times during the tournament. Credentials can be in paper or electronic form and are considered final after your team is checked in.

When is team check-in?

Starting in 2017, there is no in-person team check-in anymore. All check-ins will take place via the PLAY LA App. Every team MUST check-in before the start of their first game, or they could face disqualification. Click here for the full team check-in tutorial.

How many rostered & eligible players can I have on my roster?

The max number of players you can have on a roster is 30.

How many coaches can I have on my roster?

The max number of coaches allowed on the sideline is 4 per team.

How does my roster affect the player leaderboard?

In order for a player to show up on the leaderboard throughout an event, the jersey number and name of the player must be listed correctly on the roster. If the jersey number or name is listed incorrectly on the roster, the player will not show up correctly on the leaderboard.

Where does the parent access the waiver to sign it?

Once a coach puts a player on the roster, their parent will receive a waiver email. If that email is lost or not seen, parents can CLICK HERE and put in their player's name to find the waiver.

What if a player doesn't fill out the waiver by the deadline?

Players will have until a team representative checks their team in at the event to finalize a waiver. If a coach does not have valid credentials for all players on their team, they risk disqualification.

Can a player be listed on different rosters for the same tournament?

No, roster sharing is not allowed and a player may only be listed on one roster per tournament.
